The Erev Shabbat for yotzim gives them an opportunity to welcome the Sabbath together, to sing Zmirot Shabbat and to enjoy familiar home-cooked food.

These Erev Shabbat gatherings take place once every two weeks and are made possible by the impressive spirit of the volunteers and the senior yotzim and by Hillel financial aid.

Weekends

Every four to six weeks the newcomers and the volunteers get together for a weekend of social life, workshops and field trips. As a focus for the whole organization these events provide an opportunity for the newcomers to socialize at length with each other, a crucial factor in maintaining morale. The field trips enable our newcomers to discover geography, natural history, camping, hiking and other pleasures of the outdoor life.

Clubhouse meetings

Both the Jerusalem and Tel Aviv Branches are centers for formal and informal contacts: clubhouse meetings, lectures and discussions, courses for new volunteers, support groups for newcomers and for volunteers, tutoring, music groups, consultations with other social agencies relevant to our work etc.

Shows, concerts and exhibitions

We help our young people become acquainted with modern culture by arranging for tickets at reduced prices to a variety of events, and for museum and library subscriptions. We have set up our own small libraries, including computers and access to the Internet, in the Jerusalem and Tel Aviv Branches.
